Off to the hospital.

Contractions four minutes apart and hurting like proper motherfuckers. My cervix BETTER BE COOPERATING, IS ALL I'M SAYING.

Jason will update soon.

*eeeeee* I'm very excited for you!!

I'm in on the baby weight, I'm going for 7lb 15 1/5 oz.

Posted by: Tc | September 30, 2005 at 03:15 PM

the way-ay-ting is the hardest part! here's to hoping that babalah is out and you 2 are just too enamored of him in all his perfectness to update the internet!

Posted by: minnie | September 30, 2005 at 03:15 PM

Good time to de-lurk!

YEAAAAAAHHHHHHH!

Congratulations and enjoy this exciting time all that you can!

Posted by: Wendi | September 30, 2005 at 03:16 PM

I hope, I think, I pray the baby is feeling well, wherever he might be - inside Amy, or by now, rather, in her arms or in his Dad's arms, or wherever else.
Welcome to the open world, baby.

Posted by: Franci | September 30, 2005 at 03:23 PM

Ack! I was hoping that out of *200+* posts, one would surely be from Jason! Eek, I'm so excited!!! And yes, the !!! key on my keyboard is wearing out!!!

Posted by: Different Laura | September 30, 2005 at 03:24 PM

Oh! Me too Me too!!!

8 pounds, 2 oz...

Posted by: baileyswedishfish | September 30, 2005 at 03:25 PM

I say 7lbs 8oz. :) Come on babalah!!

Posted by: callistawolf | September 30, 2005 at 03:27 PM

I'm in. 8 pounds 4 ounces.

Posted by: Lori | September 30, 2005 at 03:28 PM

I'm up for a margherita, gimme!

Also, since I completely lost the birthday pool (I guessed September 19th, I was trying to be nice and hopeful about an early birth), I'll go in for the "Guess The Weight" contest. I stick to my original guess, 8lbs 3oz.

Posted by: Zoe | September 30, 2005 at 03:29 PM

I also read all 200+ posts hoping one was Jason... I will have to wonder all weekend until I come back to work on Monday and can get all the updates!

Congrats and Good Luck, and I hope you are getting some sleep (even if it's only 15 minutes at a time!)

I'm so jealous!

Posted by: Johanna | September 30, 2005 at 03:32 PM

Best wishes to you and your family!

Posted by: Busy Mom | September 30, 2005 at 03:52 PM

Posted by: Starfruit | September 30, 2005 at 04:06 PM

I think I'm begining to see which side of the family the baby gets it from. Jason! Where ARRRRE you? Supporting your wife as she squeezes an impossibly big human out of her impossibly teeny yin-yang? Hmph. Priorities, dude. ;-)

Many prayers for you guys.

Posted by: E. | September 30, 2005 at 04:07 PM

w00t! Your page hits today are going to be insane. Good luck, girl!

Go Storches go! Here's hoping labor is fast and easy, and your cervix behaves it's damn self.

Posted by: Jenn | September 30, 2005 at 04:35 PM

Weight- I'm going to be nice and guess 6 lbs., 11 oz. :)

Posted by: Mikaela | September 30, 2005 at 04:45 PM

Congratulations! Hope labor is quick and everything goes as you hoped.

Posted by: kiffer | September 30, 2005 at 04:50 PM

Posted by: Rebekah | September 30, 2005 at 05:35 PM

I think she has had a C Section

Posted by: Julz | September 30, 2005 at 05:51 PM

Congratulations, Amy! We're all so excited for you. The long wait is over. If you aren't already, you'll be holding your son soon. I wish you the best of luck with the delivery and all.

If I promise to contribute the queso, can I get into the pool? I'm thinking 8 lbs, 6 oz (I'm pretty sure no one else said that).

Posted by: Skeeter | September 30, 2005 at 05:58 PM

I'm new, so perhaps I'm behind the 8-ball, but...

She MUST have this shirt! If no one's gotten it for her, I will.

http://tinyurl.com/9m357

The suspense is killing me.

Posted by: madge | September 30, 2005 at 06:20 PM

I am LOVIN' that T-shirt!

I am also hoping that they are just SO blissful with the babalah that the Internet isn't important right now.

Posted by: Amytoo | September 30, 2005 at 06:24 PM

Amy & Jason,
You were too sweet to think of us enough to post that you were on your way! I hope you felt our vibes all day and that by now (since I was working all day and not near a computer) you are three and happy and healthy! Happy Birthday Squishy Storch!! You have a lot of fans! xox

Posted by: cate | September 30, 2005 at 06:38 PM

Posted by: Maggie | September 30, 2005 at 07:42 PM

I'm still here checking and realizing what a thing it is that I want Jason on posting something NOW when you need to be enjoying beautiful baby boy. (((hugs))) and ~~~vibes toward a safe and happy delivery and recovery :)

Posted by: Blissie | September 30, 2005 at 07:44 PM

SQUEEE!!!!! It's about damn time, too. I got your thank you note today; glad to hear they'll finally get some use. If Babalah is this stubborn now just wait until you try to get him out of bed in the morning for school...

Good luck to ya, hon!

Posted by: warcrygirl | September 30, 2005 at 08:13 PM

Congrats! And how exciting! And I can't wait to see pictures of the new kiddo! Good luck!

Posted by: Karen | September 30, 2005 at 08:27 PM

I hope you have been holding and staring at the babalah all this time and not still in labor. My kid #1 took TWENTY-FIVE hours before they decided to surgically remove him. And I was SO HAPPY that the damn never-ending contractions were going to be over that I didn't even care.

So if you were me, you'd still have a long night ahead but you're not, you have way, way better purses and a cooler kitchen which will probably translate into an equally fantastic birth.

(And it really wasn't all that bad for me because I repeated the process THREE MORE TIMES. :-)

Posted by: Susie Sunshine | September 30, 2005 at 08:39 PM

Congratulations, you've made your very own Storch family. :)

Welcome to the world Babalah.

Posted by: aibee | September 30, 2005 at 09:05 PM

de-lurking myself to congragulate you -- you have hopefully already had your baby (though I took over 40 hours to pop out). We all await your post with breat that is bated.

Posted by: Adam Jacob Muller | September 30, 2005 at 09:25 PM

Posted by: LRStan | September 30, 2005 at 09:35 PM

Yay, good luck!!!

Posted by: Jem | September 30, 2005 at 09:45 PM

GAH! I'm dying! Is he here yet?

Posted by: Michele | September 30, 2005 at 10:15 PM

And???

For the sanity of the internet please post soon Jason!

Hope all is well.

Posted by: Lisa Ann | September 30, 2005 at 10:16 PM

Let me be the one frillionth poster please. I've been checking every 10 minutes and my checker is worn out- though probably not as much as Amalah. Good God Babalah! Where are you? You internet family loves you 'lil boy!!!!

Posted by: Not Very Patient | September 30, 2005 at 10:22 PM

Wow! He's finally coming!

Posted by: Jen-Again | September 30, 2005 at 11:11 PM

Why do people feel the need to tell their own horror stories of labor to someone who is in labor?

Posted by: Jill | September 30, 2005 at 11:35 PM

Congratulations Amy and Jason!! Why do I not find it at all odd that I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of a baby to parents I do not know AT ALL??? Best wishes to you all and looking forward to the update.

Posted by: Beverly | September 30, 2005 at 11:39 PM

I'm hoping Jason isn't updating because he's busy being with his happy, healthy wife and his baby, who just slipped right out of her in one hour, in a happy bubble of amazement and love and cannot remember the internet just now, right?

Posted by: mary ann | September 30, 2005 at 11:40 PM

If someone doesn't post something soon I'm going to break my refresh button.
::paces anxiously::

Posted by: Adam Jacob Muller | October 01, 2005 at 12:34 AM

Much love and luck, Jason and Amy! Hope you're having nice, quiet time with the little one right now.

A mother is born...

How very cool.

Way to go, Mamalah! (and yes, I am using an exclamation point, and yes, I have refreshed about 253 times today.)

Posted by: crazypaintlady | October 01, 2005 at 02:26 AM

I just woke up in the middle of the night thinking of you and wanted to check for an update. No such luck. That's ok. I hope you and the baby are doing fine and I'll be waiting patiently for the update cause I know it'll be worth it.

**big hugs and congratulations**
