Hello All. This is Jason, performing a substitute post for Amy while she's at the hospital. Amy asked me to fill you all in on the birth of our baby boy, but I'm not going to give away everything. Amy will be following up with an entry about the whole experience when she's discharged from the hospital on Monday, which I'm sure you're all just dying to read about. But for now, here's our new baby boy.
Isn't he just the most beautiful thing you've ever seen?! Noah Corbin Storch was born at 10:32 AM on September 30th. He weighed 9 lbs. 15oz. and was 21 inches tall.

9.15? Wow! That's a bigun! You are going to LOVE having a bigun, they eat more, so they sleep longer. My little Moo weighed in at 9.12 and she was sleeping 4 hrs at a time almost right away, I would have to wake HER up to feed her! And she slept through the night at 5 weeks!! Love the biguns!!

Yay! Big babies are the best! Mine slept through the night at 8 days old. Then I started waking him up in the morning to make sure he got enough food (duh, don't do that). He's still a good sleeper now that he's almost 16. Congratulations!

Beautiful baby boy. Beautiful name. That has to be the most beautiful picture of a newborn, minutes old, right? (he's still got the little temperature thing on his tummy). That's saying a lot , we have about 10,000 of each of our children in the little hospital bassinet. His skin is so unwrinkly and even toned.

Husband brought his laptop into the bedroom this morning to show me you had the baby... I woke up momentarily, saw Babalah was big, saw he was gorgeous, remarked to husband, "Noah... that's a good name," and happily fell back to sleep. It was kinda like having my own baby, but without the pushing and the swearing.

Oh, she can print out all 253 comments and read them while she's nursing. I set Noah's picture as my wallpaper, cuz my kids are so wild this week -- I wanted to remember that aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh feeling from my babies' first days. I am so happy for you three, and your extended family (and your cyber family, too).

I hope you experience the same. If there's any benefit to having a baby so big he either blows thru your birth canal or requires surgery, it's that he will probably sleep more than a pipsqueak would AND eat more.
Mine was a mere 8lb9oz and had to be woken to eat every four hours. She was a bruiser from the beginning and was textbook healthy. GO BIG BABIES!
