Oh Yes, Today Is Also My Birthday

December 27, 2005

So far today, I have ripped two pairs of pantyhose, left the house 47 minutes later than I intended to, stalled my car because I don't remember how to shift in heels, thrown out three very dead office plants and spent 20 minutes trying to figure out what the hell my network password is.

I also left Noah at daycare.

It hurts so bad, I can't hear.

The leaving the baby thing? It really does get easier. Promise. But that doesn't mean it doesn't still suck. Hang in there.

and happy belated birthday!

First time reader, just found your site today. I've spent the morning getting to know you and your family. Just wanted to wish you a happy birthday and let you know that I look forward to following you on this journey. :)

Happy Birthday Amy! My birthday was yesterday, the 26th. Know it totally makes sense why you make me laugh. Us Birth Month buddies are goddamn funny chicks!

Hang in there!

Happy birthday! Um, yeah - yesterday.

But you get my drift.

I imagine you've been too busy to update with your free time being spent devouring your little one, and I hope day two at work was a bit, if a tiny little bit, easier. Your last line resonated with me, as even though our circumstances are different, when babies are involved it's a whole new ballgame when any decision is made. A happy momma makes a happy baby, and as I believe you have mentioned that your work is something that you not only need but want to do, it will balance out in the end. And if you find it doesn't, you will find something that works for you and make it happen.

Best wishes.

Oh, and like many others, I forgot to say happy birthday! That baby of yours is first on everyone's minds.
