Oooh. That's beautiful. :)

Posted by: Carolyn | December 07, 2007 at 11:24 AM

So cute!! And innocent!

But if this was one of my three boys, the next photo would have him falling over or already on the ground. Poor kids got my wonderful sense of non-balance.

Raawwr! That is the coolest hat ever.

Posted by: Must be Motherhood | December 07, 2007 at 11:30 AM

that second picture pretty much sums up everything great about being a kid

Posted by: katie | December 07, 2007 at 11:30 AM

What great pictuers, totally sums up the wonder and joy of the first snow of the year

Posted by: WendyB | December 07, 2007 at 11:32 AM

I love his hat.

Posted by: Dana | December 07, 2007 at 11:39 AM

Hat and kid: SO CUTE.

Posted by: jive turkey | December 07, 2007 at 11:39 AM

Aw man, typepad ate my comment! Anyway I tried to say that it is a gorgeous series of Noah, and suggested framing it in a vertical 3-picture frame, or making it your Christmas card! Too cute!

Posted by: Heidi | December 07, 2007 at 11:40 AM

He is too adorable...also, I just ordered Philosophy's Purity Made Simple for the first time!

Posted by: Rebecca | December 07, 2007 at 11:43 AM

This makes me incredibly happy. Thank you Amalah!

Posted by: Jen | December 07, 2007 at 11:46 AM

precious.

Posted by: jodi | December 07, 2007 at 11:46 AM

I grew up in San Diego, but moved to Upstate New York for a few years. I had pretty much the same reaction to my first snow.

I pulled over and watched the snowflakes land, then melt, on my windshield - completely mesmerized...my friends in the car, however? Bewildered and pissed.

Posted by: Janna | December 07, 2007 at 11:48 AM

How absolutely, perfectly awesome!

Posted by: Kelly J | December 07, 2007 at 11:56 AM

Adorable. Is that a cat hat?

Posted by: Maria | December 07, 2007 at 11:58 AM

In love with his hat! Glad he's enjoying the snow (my little one hates the coat, hat, gloves and boots with a burning passion so we haven't been able to play in it yet).

Posted by: Miss W | December 07, 2007 at 11:59 AM

Reminds me of Charlie Brown Christmas when they catch snowflakes on their tongues.

Posted by: Ann | December 07, 2007 at 12:02 PM

awwwwwwwww!

The third one is my favorite. He looks so peaceful.

Posted by: Sarah | December 07, 2007 at 12:04 PM

awwwwwwwww!

The third one is my favorite. He looks so peaceful.

Posted by: Sarah | December 07, 2007 at 12:04 PM

What beautiful pictures. You have captured the absolute innocence of childhood. Keep these close at hand when he turns 16!

Posted by: Brooks | December 07, 2007 at 12:17 PM

The second one looks like one of those one word motivational posters (think "Dedication" or "Winning") but in this case it would be "Wonder." BTW, those are the first pictures of Noah that made me think, "Hmm, maybe he does look like his dad after all." Must be the hat. Jason must look like a lion.

Posted by: heidi | December 07, 2007 at 12:28 PM

I MUST have that hat in my size!

Posted by: Deanna | December 07, 2007 at 12:52 PM

Yeah. I remember this.

Posted by: Helen | December 07, 2007 at 12:56 PM

Thanks for sharing! This just captures it all, doesn't it?

Posted by: kathryn | December 07, 2007 at 01:06 PM

Dammit! You make me want to have more babies! Thank goodness the plumbing no longer works, I could have a moment of temporary insanity.

I can't figure out which picture is my favorite. They all win! Yay!

Posted by: AmyM | December 07, 2007 at 01:09 PM

Oh sweet goodness...he's adorable.I wish I could take my Ally to see snow. You see here in FL it's still 80 out...I hate FL!!

Posted by: Wendy | December 07, 2007 at 01:09 PM

Sweet!

Posted by: Starbuck | December 07, 2007 at 01:26 PM

What sweetness you have. Lucky girl!

Posted by: Dani | December 07, 2007 at 01:32 PM

Yep. Those three. In a triple frame. No better gift. For someone. Or for you.

Posted by: wordnerd | December 07, 2007 at 01:35 PM

Adorable! My toddler just steamrolls into the snow. He just doesn't have the same wonderment.

Posted by: WI Amy M | December 07, 2007 at 01:41 PM

Perfect.

I miss being this excited about snow.

Posted by: kerrianne | December 07, 2007 at 01:42 PM

He is an absolute doll baby

Posted by: Karin | December 07, 2007 at 01:49 PM

It's amazing to me how looking at pictures of a little kid enjoying something so wholeheartedly can bring memories of my own childhood rushing back. I love those pics, thanks for sharing.

Posted by: Kathryn | December 07, 2007 at 01:59 PM

Heartbreakingly beautiful.

Posted by: She Likes Purple | December 07, 2007 at 02:01 PM

so beautiful - I have chills!

Posted by: mswas | December 07, 2007 at 02:04 PM

I so desperately want to live somewhere snowy.

Posted by: rotabega | December 07, 2007 at 02:09 PM

I love his look of awe and wonder. Really gives new meaning to enjoying life's simple pleasures.

Posted by: Katie | December 07, 2007 at 02:10 PM

This brought tears to my eyes! My son is the same age, and this is what he does everytime we go outside now. Even he just saw it the day before, it's like it's new everyday! Love it!!!

Posted by: nicole | December 07, 2007 at 02:23 PM

priceless. perfect addition to the scrapbook ;)

Posted by: bananie | December 07, 2007 at 02:28 PM

It is amazing how kids can find the joy in everything. He is absolutely adorable.

Posted by: Someone Being Me | December 07, 2007 at 02:33 PM

Aw he is absolutely precious. Granted I think I say that every time you put up a picture of him. But he really is one adorable kid.

Posted by: katelin | December 07, 2007 at 02:34 PM

Heart = melted.

Posted by: Amy H | December 07, 2007 at 02:53 PM

he is the most precious thing. all your pictures of noah are gorgeous, but there's something special about these three... i guess maybe it's that time when you realize that your child has his own thoughts and feelings about what he's seeing. regardless - these are priceless.

Posted by: becky | December 07, 2007 at 02:55 PM

Sweet. Everyone's getting snow except me. And all of Florida. And okay, a few other places, too.

Posted by: erin | December 07, 2007 at 03:01 PM

Wow. I can practically hear the hush in the air as the snow lightly falls...those pictures capture beautiful moments so so well...gorgeous. And Noah- oh Noah. Words fail me (and I, too, love that hat!) Thank you for letting us share in this simple joy. :) **siiighhhhh**

Posted by: Liana | December 07, 2007 at 03:45 PM

Love the hat!
At least you got enough snow to play in! We got just enough to mess up traffic.....you know, "OMG It's snowing....must crawl along at 15 mph or I may slide off the road!"

Posted by: Val @ Stinky | December 07, 2007 at 03:47 PM

Love, love, LOVE these - especially the last one. A look of pure bliss.

Posted by: merry jennifer | December 07, 2007 at 04:10 PM

He has the most magical expression on his face in the third one.
