With Asses Roundly Kicked

May 14, 2008

Noah just officially passed the standardized articulation test at "age-appropriate levels." He has no detectable delay or difficulty that would "inhibit his ability to learn and function in a mainstream school environment." He is "one smart little guy there, like for real, wow."

Good job Noah!

Posted by: Kerry | May 14, 2008 at 09:52 AM

I have to imagine that hearing those things feels amazing. Good work, all of you!

Posted by: Jessie | May 14, 2008 at 09:52 AM

Yippee for Noah! He's gonna be the best big brother, like, ever.
Also, I know this couldn't sound more stalker-ish but I totally had a dream about you and Noah last night. Only it was like a high school play and the two of you were played by teenage boys. But it was you.
They say women have weird dreams when they are pregnant. Maybe that's why throughout the whole dream, I was just looking for a place I could sleep.
Anyway-Yay Noah!

Posted by: christina | May 14, 2008 at 09:52 AM

That is AWESOME! You already knew that you were doing the right thing by getting him all the help, but now you KNOW you did the right thing.
Noah is the man!

Posted by: Kate | May 14, 2008 at 09:53 AM

you all must be so proud! I am and I don't even know you! Kick-ass Noah.

Posted by: Ramona | May 14, 2008 at 10:03 AM

Of course he's smart! His biggest challenge was just figuring out how to communicate with all the stupid adults.

Posted by: AmyM | May 14, 2008 at 10:04 AM

Congratulations Noah!!! Way to go little man!!!

Posted by: lfm | May 14, 2008 at 10:05 AM

Posted by: Busy Mom | May 14, 2008 at 10:24 AM

So I know that "roundedly" modifies kicked, but I keep feeling that it modifies "asses." Which is Teh Awesome.

Posted by: cagey | May 14, 2008 at 11:45 AM

I don't know the backstory- but congrats!
My four year old son got speech therapy (I'm in Montgomery County MD) a couple of years ago through the county - AND it was a wonderful experience!
He is a fantastic talker now and at the end of a year of speech therapy - his teacher who would come to our house said (joyously, because he was talking so much and so well)
"Some kids, especially boys, just don't do a lot of talking until they have something to say."
