Come ON, baby. Smile! Show the nice people how you totally smile sometimes!

Seriously. I have 539 photos of this exact same expression already. Please?

Wait! Is that?

Img_0645

That's it! Keep going!

(That was easily the most exciting five seconds of my entire day.)

followed by an "urp!"

Posted by: Sprite's Keeper | November 18, 2008 at 03:12 PM

I can't believe he's smiling already!! Or maybe I just had really crabby babies?

Posted by: HeatherPride | November 18, 2008 at 03:13 PM

remember that moment... in exactly 3 seconds, he'll be getting on the kindergarten bus. ;-)

Posted by: heidi | November 18, 2008 at 03:18 PM

Dude, my fifteen month old just figured out he can stick his finger in his nose.

And so he does.

Every time we try to take a picture of him.

Posted by: Maureen | November 18, 2008 at 03:21 PM

He looks soooo much like his big brother, especially with that serious face.

Posted by: Amaelija | November 18, 2008 at 03:27 PM

ahh too cute!

Posted by: Alicia | November 18, 2008 at 03:43 PM

Awww baby smiles make my uterus flutter

Posted by: starrynite | November 18, 2008 at 03:56 PM

Precious!

Posted by: Jen L. | November 18, 2008 at 04:06 PM

Smiling or not, he's adorable!

Posted by: Kristy | November 18, 2008 at 04:07 PM

Mine, too!

Posted by: Lori | November 18, 2008 at 04:12 PM

I can totally see Noah in his face, they definitely are brothers.

Posted by: kate | November 18, 2008 at 04:14 PM

oh! that was one of the best moments of my day too. I still make faces at The Son to get him to giggle at me, although now he is all like "aww Mama, you are silly!"

Posted by: Hey You | November 18, 2008 at 04:15 PM

Omg, that's so cute! And he really looks like his big brother when he smiles!

Posted by: tutugirl1345 | November 18, 2008 at 04:21 PM

Super cute baby boy! And may I add that you are fabulous?

But seriously, is that your bed...and it's made?

I have one 2.5 month old and my bed only gets made the day the cleaning lady comes.....

Posted by: Kimberly | November 18, 2008 at 04:26 PM

He's soooooooooooo cute!!

Posted by: Maria | November 18, 2008 at 04:32 PM

Ezra is such a beautiful baby.

Posted by: Kristin | November 18, 2008 at 04:43 PM

HAHAHA!! Awesome!

Posted by: nonsoccermom | November 18, 2008 at 04:45 PM

I love his pointy little hair tip.

Posted by: Miss Grace | November 18, 2008 at 05:09 PM

He is totally cute!!! Smooshy, nummy baby cuteness... and you are so very funny.

Posted by: Catherine S | November 18, 2008 at 05:20 PM

bwahahahahaha! That was great. I needed that laugh, too. And lucky you! I couldn't catch D's smile on camera until he was at least 2 months old.

Posted by: elisa | November 18, 2008 at 05:26 PM

We feel your pain. However, we didn't have digital cameras for this and thus, some of us are stuck with 500 prints of that last pose, in different outfits! :)

Posted by: Suzanne | November 18, 2008 at 05:39 PM

Best 5 seconds of my day, too!

Posted by: Starbuck | November 18, 2008 at 05:49 PM

OMG he makes my uterus ache!

Posted by: Christy | November 18, 2008 at 06:02 PM

He looks like Noah in that serious, first picture. What a sweet, teeny tiny baby! It almost makes me want to think about maybe having another one.

Posted by: Lauren | November 18, 2008 at 06:03 PM

Hello, my love bug!!

Have I mentioned that I love, love, love that boy??

When can I come visit again? In two weeks?? Excellent because I'll be back. ;-)

Posted by: Heather B | November 18, 2008 at 06:12 PM

Squeee! What a delicious baby. And I am also laughing, because I have probably 200 pictures of my boyfriend where I am trying to get him to smile and he doesn't...just to be contrary. Silly boys.

Posted by: Katie | November 18, 2008 at 06:19 PM

Yay little baby, good job smiling!

Posted by: Andrea | November 18, 2008 at 06:27 PM

AAAWWWW. So cute, can I just eat him up?

Posted by: JennyMooMeow | November 18, 2008 at 06:45 PM

This totally made ME smile! :)

Posted by: Tam. | November 18, 2008 at 06:45 PM

It took my daughter 4 months to smile... and for a very long time she would only have one of her eyes open. Talk about one eye monster...

Posted by: g.s.dane | November 18, 2008 at 08:03 PM

Would you please make a video of the faces and sound effects to make My baby smile?

Posted by: EdenSky | November 18, 2008 at 08:41 PM

Darling!

Posted by: Beth | November 18, 2008 at 09:03 PM

He looks astoundingly like Mr. Turtle number 1 in this series of pictures!!!
Just as gorgeous!

Posted by: Mariana Perri | November 18, 2008 at 09:36 PM

I feel ya. How cute!

Posted by: MamaCass | November 18, 2008 at 09:50 PM

He is SUCH a dollie--the most squishable little cheeks I've ever seen! :)

Posted by: Jamie | November 18, 2008 at 10:30 PM

How freaking adorable is that hair? My god, he is cute.

Posted by: Mia | November 18, 2008 at 10:35 PM

He is so totally adorable that he makes ME want to have another baby--and I'm 49, widowed, with teenagers, so I really should be LONG past the baby stage. What a cutie! Wish I could smooch his darling little head.

Posted by: Kathi | November 18, 2008 at 10:46 PM

Oh my goodness...he's a mini-noah ... so adorable. No wonder you're not posting daily - who can blame you!?!?!???!?!

Posted by: Starfruit | November 18, 2008 at 11:13 PM

awwww... so sweet.

Posted by: Jennifer A | November 19, 2008 at 12:04 AM

What a great post. Totally adorable!

Posted by: Rachael | November 19, 2008 at 12:20 AM

awww, he smiles for his Mama!

Posted by: Elizabeth | November 19, 2008 at 07:52 AM

I still have 5 million pictures of my son with that same expression; but there is that one picture of him smiling that makes all of the faces and noises that you made totally worth it.

Posted by: susan | November 19, 2008 at 09:20 AM

That was really cute.

Posted by: zandor | November 19, 2008 at 09:58 AM

Ahh! My little one will grin like a fool until I mash the button - then the smiling stops. After the flash goes off, back to smiling. How is it that you have to be both patient and quick to get a grin pic?

Posted by: Sarah | November 19, 2008 at 10:11 AM

There is just nothing else like it.

Posted by: Cat | November 19, 2008 at 12:59 PM

He looks so much like you!

Posted by: Heide | November 19, 2008 at 01:10 PM

What a great smile! And even in his default facial expression, he has the world's cutest cowlick,so that's something. : )

Posted by: Danielle | November 19, 2008 at 01:17 PM

How do babies know?? Babies and cats always know when the camera is out. But that was cutest oh-so-close-eff it-we're-calling-it-a-smile smile EVER!

Posted by: marcoda | November 19, 2008 at 01:18 PM

Welcome to my day! I have spent the last three days trying to get that exact shot. I wanted that picture for her 1 month birthday. Natalie is not cooperating. I am trying again today. Wish me luck!

Posted by: Meredith | November 19, 2008 at 01:40 PM

Okay, this is totally weird and probably somewhat inappropriate, but do you know whose baby this looks like? Sean Slinsky's! If he had one, I mean. Too, too cute!

Posted by: Leah | November 19, 2008 at 01:48 PM

Okay, now tell us the name story!

Posted by: EL | November 19, 2008 at 03:57 PM

I have done the exact same thing..only not been lucky enough to click in time to catch the baby smile!
