I just want to put your doggie in my pocket and take her home. Is that so wrong?

Posted by: Missie | April 22, 2010 at 09:24 AM

Oh lord I love your Ceiba posts.... *smooshes little doggie face in loves and hugs and kisses*

Posted by: Kirsten | April 22, 2010 at 09:25 AM

I have a minpin also and all he does is sleep under covers. I thought they were supposed to be these really hyper dogs and all Robin does is sleep.

Posted by: Heidi T | April 22, 2010 at 09:26 AM

I love these Cieba posts! I keep re-visiting Jan. 1 because it cracks me up, especially the hair dye comment. Belly rubs!

Posted by: Darra | April 22, 2010 at 09:27 AM

Love the photo of her burying her head!

Posted by: VioletMonkey | April 22, 2010 at 09:31 AM

I love that pet bed!! Where did you get it? My dog would love it.

(she wouldn't care if it's a cat bed either...)

Posted by: sheilah | April 22, 2010 at 09:36 AM

I'm with Sheila. I would love to get my little min-pin a bed like that. Niblet loves to sleep on my bed under her own little sherpa blanket. However, she looks at me to "fix" it everytime she moves. So I do, just so she can be covered and warm. I would love to have something that she (hopefully) could not mess up that bad. Ceiba is soo cute.

Posted by: Kelly | April 22, 2010 at 10:01 AM

I've never been a big "dog type" person, but I love Ceiba!! And getting a glimpse inside her head makes me love her all the more.

Posted by: Life of a Doctor's Wife | April 22, 2010 at 10:01 AM

That dog is adorable.

Adorable.

I might be forced to track him down and steal him.

Not really. But I wouldn't be opposed to a playdate. I don't have a dog or anything - it'd just be me.

Posted by: Megan (Best of Fates) | April 22, 2010 at 10:09 AM

There are too many reasons why I want that pet bed. First and most shameful is that *I* want to curl up in there. The second reason? Sphinx cat. He would crawl his shivering naked butt in there quicker than ... Than ... {sound of witty banter drying up }

Posted by: Patti | April 22, 2010 at 10:09 AM

That? Is quite a cat bed.

Poor poor Ceiba, her naps keep getting interrupted with pictures. However will she maintain her magnificent belly if she can't get enough sleep?

Posted by: Dawn | April 22, 2010 at 10:14 AM

OMGEE those last two pictures are so cute Ima gonna die from the cuteness!

Posted by: kaelak | April 22, 2010 at 10:28 AM

She is so cute. Almost makes me want a dog....

Posted by: Elonda | April 22, 2010 at 10:31 AM

Posted by: CollegeAtThirty | April 22, 2010 at 10:37 AM

Technically, I'm taking my seventh nap right now too.

Posted by: Sprite's Keeper | April 22, 2010 at 10:44 AM

Aw, my wiener dog is the same way the constant napping! Love the bed, by the way.

Posted by: Megan@Blueberry Scones | April 22, 2010 at 10:46 AM

the last two pictures are the best... i giggled out loud at work, oops!

Posted by: Serena | April 22, 2010 at 10:53 AM

I love that cat bed! If she ever gets tired of it, DC shelter kitties would kill with cute purrs for it.

Posted by: Bethany | April 22, 2010 at 10:55 AM

if I send you some photos of my dog can you get in his head? Maybe that's new feature for you.... send Amy a photo of your pet and she'll caption it for you! how fun would that be??
(very)

Posted by: stacy | April 22, 2010 at 11:03 AM

How could that possibly be a cat bet? I've never known a cat that would voluntarily sleep under a blanket type thing.
Now, my cat crawls into bags. But I've known plenty o' dogs that loove crawling underneath covers.

Posted by: BeccaLynn | April 22, 2010 at 11:08 AM

I think you should train Ceiba to pull a wagon. Everybody's doing it!

I love that bed! The dog posts are very cute.

Do you think they would make a bed like that for a Great Dane? :P

Posted by: wendryn | April 22, 2010 at 11:20 AM

BeccaLynn: actually our cat climbs into that bed ALL THE TIME. There are constant turf wars. My pets are weird.

We got this bed on Amazon. At one point our local PetSmart or PetCo sold them, but I can only find them online now. We've gone through at least two or three - Ceiba won't sleep on anything else. Brat.

Posted by: Amalah | April 22, 2010 at 11:24 AM

OMG, my pug would LOVE that bed. He spends a lot of time hidden in the closet behind our low-haning clothes. It's kinda creepy, but he's so darn cute that I don't care. Must find this bed for him!!

Posted by: Natalie | April 22, 2010 at 11:53 AM

These posts are hysterical! Ceiba is so pretty, and she is so witty. It is so nice that her momma has dedicated a whole column to her ongoings once a week!

Posted by: Jenny | April 22, 2010 at 11:58 AM

I FREAKING LOVE THESE!!!!!!!!
My parent's dog has that bed, btw. They put a dog bed UNDER the dog bed to make it more comfy

Posted by: Natballs | April 22, 2010 at 12:05 PM

I love Ceiba! Makes me miss my little Min Pin, her name was Merlot.

Posted by: Ashley | April 22, 2010 at 12:05 PM

HAHA! The best Ceiba post yet.

Posted by: Bachelor Girl | April 22, 2010 at 01:45 PM

Ceiba's "posts" are making me miss having a dog.

Posted by: Lizgizzy | April 22, 2010 at 01:52 PM

I love her so much! She and my chihuahua Tank spend their days in similar fashion. :) Last two photos are my faves!

Posted by: Pinkie Bling | April 22, 2010 at 02:00 PM

i love the millkbone posts!

Posted by: HolyMama! | April 22, 2010 at 02:01 PM

Nap time has been my theme this week. Come home from work...nap! And if I had a dog like yours to nap with, life would be so much more complete! I love these posts!

Posted by: Haley | April 22, 2010 at 02:03 PM

my minpin loves to sleep under the covers too. off to Amazon i go to find that bed. She will LOVE it!

Posted by: Andrea | April 22, 2010 at 02:03 PM

I agree with Andrea, that looks like a very handy bed- I think I need to find one of those...

Posted by: Shauna (Fido & Wino) | April 22, 2010 at 02:27 PM

I love these!

When do we get to see some more Max?

Posted by: Jae | April 22, 2010 at 02:41 PM

I will absolutely be looking for that bed on Amazon tonight. Maybe, just maybe, it would mean my dog doesn't have to wake me up to re-cover her every time she gets up at night.

Posted by: Cara | April 22, 2010 at 03:04 PM

I'm home sick today and am reminded of the fact that my dog sleeps with his head under his dogbed or shoved in the corner by the door when he naps during the day. In the evenings he naps in the middle of the couch; so clearly I need to start keeping one room dark enough for him to nap in.

Posted by: Amy in Stl | April 22, 2010 at 04:02 PM

Heh that's too cute! I love that it actually provides that "hood" or whatever for them to burrow :) I bet my cat would love it!

Posted by: Heather | April 22, 2010 at 04:11 PM

Completely unrelated to your post, but I saw this and thought of Noah. Given his music/color connection I thought he might like it.

DOOD! Where did you get that doggie bed!? My Min Pin (Henry) NEEDS one desperately!!

Posted by: Elizabeth | April 22, 2010 at 04:29 PM

BOO DWAR!!! Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Posted by: Jen L. | April 22, 2010 at 04:56 PM

I have recently introduced my 12 year old son to your Ceiba posts. I just have to say Ceiba time and he's there in an instant. Ten minutes ago, I told him it was bedtime, then I sat down and discovered this post. Being the great mother I am, I texted him it was Ceiba time (yes we are that family that texts one another from the next room). I love sitting here with him as he reads them in his interpretation of her voice.

So what I'm saying is, thanks for giving me something simple that I can share with my (preteen, too-cool-to-talk-to-his-mother, gah-what-do-you-WANT) son. :)

w00t! I am giving you the Honest Scrap award because you share so very very much about your life and deserve a little recognition. Deets on my blog post this evening. :)

Yay! I love the Ceiba posts.

Posted by: JenniG | April 22, 2010 at 10:40 PM

Dude, this is exactly what I want my life to be like. Ceiba's like my idol, right there. Seventh nap time FTW!

Posted by: Gee | April 23, 2010 at 08:49 AM

Now I have that Janet Jackson song in my head. "No my first name ain't baby, it's Ceiba, Ms. Ceiba if you're nasty!"

LOVE to Ceiba.

Posted by: Cheryl S. | April 23, 2010 at 10:13 AM

Cute doggie post FTW! Ceiba if you're ever in NC swing by my house for cuddles!

Posted by: Brandi | April 23, 2010 at 10:35 AM

The ears. They kill me. Ears, people. EARS.

Posted by: Cyn | April 24, 2010 at 02:55 PM

so cute! I can see why Ceiba likes the cat bed -- it looks super comfy!

Posted by: Lisa | April 24, 2010 at 10:45 PM

Too funny! We got our min pin that bed a few years ago and she LOVES it. We call it her "taco bed." Dogs gotta burrow apparently.
