(Clearly having the time of his life here. In fact, I had to BRIBE HIM with a promise of playing a game on my iPhone in exchange for 30 stupid minutes of playing outside. It is a little hot out there today, I'll give him that, but seriously, child. Could you possibly look more miserable?)

(I'll take that as a yes.)

How bad am I - I bribe my daughter to come IN the house!

Man, when he is a teenager you are SCREWED. If he can mope that well now, imagine what he'll be able to do at 13?

All Michael wants is a skateboard and we won't give him one until he at least TRIES to ride a bike. The things we bribe our kids with? Hey, these things are supposed to be fun!!!!!

Well, he looks bad ass in that helmet!

Posted by: MommiePie | July 15, 2010 at 02:16 PM

how could he look so dejected with such a kick ass helmet?!?!

Posted by: sara | July 15, 2010 at 02:20 PM

He must have inherited your "not an outside kid" genes.

His helmet is awesome!

If you don't already have a slip and slide- I think that's what he needs. Or pull out the sprinkler.

Is a helmet required if you're only going to sit on the skateboard and look dejected? That is absolutely ADORABLE!!!!

And you're totally hosed when he's a teenager.

HA! Very cute/funny pictures :)Thanks for sharing, as always.

We have one of those battery-powered vehicles (John Deere tractor in our case) for our 2-year-old grandson and we have to BEG him to come back inside even thought it's 90+ degrees. Maybe Noah would enjoy something like that? Of course we live out in the country so there's room to ride.

That last picture put me over the edge. I'm now giggling uncontrollably at my desk. I'm not so much laughing at your kid's misery but the way you presented it. :)

Those helmets are really hot. Some creep in an EMS told me so. I think he just wanted a chance to have someone stare at his huge curly ginger mustache.

Wow. My comment showed 3 times. I really want attention, apparently. I sure hope this one only posts once…

Sorry to be the grammar police, but per the seminal and timeless words of Avril Lavigne, that should be "Sk8er Boi".

And after Googling a 2002 album by Avril Lavinge, now I has a sad face too.

You and The Primamomma have posts with the same name today. WEIRD. =)

So cute, he must have the same opinion as my 9 year old granddaughter, the sun can give you skin cancer and fresh air is over-rated!!!!

Well, if he's not a skater boy, he still has plenty of time to try on the jock, prep, goth, etc. hats. :)

So... this has nothing to do with the post but... I was watching Youth in Revolt last night, and decided that Michael Cera looks exactly like Noah all grown up. You want to catch a glimpse into Noah's young adult years, just watch some Superbad, Juno, etc.

Life as a child is sooooooooooooo hard...wait until he discovers that one day he'll have to pay bills, taxes...big sigh...wish I could be sulking on a skate board right now.
