Posted by: Jennifer Merrick | March 14, 2011 at 01:53 PM

Go Noah!
My daughter has some mild- moderate sensory and vestibular disorders that can have a big impact on her attention and focus at times. This can cause a lot of stress for her and us in situations like this but she also can surprise us when we least expect it. Looks like Noah has an awesome capacity to surprise as well.

Posted by: Susan | March 14, 2011 at 05:05 PM

Yay Noah!!! So happy for you little dude!! When I took Tae Kwon Do (back in the day haha) there were many children in there who had attention issues. Back then it wasn't really known as ADD/ADHD they were just considered hyper..BUT no matter what it is referred to as now (or then)the martial arts is a WONDERFUL thing to have children involved in. Focus is one of the key lessons taught and this will help him. I just know it. Plus self respect and for others...I just love it and I can't wait to hear more of the 'Grasshoppers' adventures (hmmm children's book?) YAY NOAH!!!

Posted by: Brandi | March 14, 2011 at 05:08 PM

Awwwww! Congrats! This is HUGE! <3

Posted by: Lilly | March 14, 2011 at 06:02 PM

Yay Noah! :-D

Posted by: Brigette | March 15, 2011 at 12:39 AM

Do you see me crying over here? Did you hear the sudden indrawn breath when I saw the first picture of that precious precious boy in his uniform? Did you see me crossing my toes and wishing hard while frantically scrolling down to the end of your post?

So very very happy that the instructors had the good sense to see what all of us already know. The Noah rocks so hard his belt should have been made of actual gold. I could barely be prouder if he were one of my own punks. Love. That. Kid.

Posted by: Missie | March 15, 2011 at 12:56 AM

This could prove to be one of the most important things he ever does - sometimes its the little things like passing first time that has the most impact. Good job Noah and good job parents for letting him try

Posted by: Alberta grandma | March 15, 2011 at 12:58 AM

Great job Noah!

Posted by: Paula | March 15, 2011 at 01:22 AM

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!! Noah, you made my day!!

Posted by: Monique | March 15, 2011 at 02:04 AM

I'm so happy Noah passed his test! I honestly thought that had he not, we would have seen a headline along the lines of "Local Woman Chokes Out Karate Instructor After Son Denied Gold Belt." So yay!

Posted by: Chelsie | March 15, 2011 at 03:05 AM

YAY NOAH! May your furniture and your ears survive the test.

Have some ice packs handy for when he figures out the coffee table doesn't break like the board did.

Posted by: Plano Mom | March 15, 2011 at 06:44 AM

Yay! Is there anything cuter than a little kid in a karate uniform? (Are they called uniforms?) It makes me wish my husband would agree to let our boys take tae kwon do. So. Damn. Adorable.

Posted by: Karen | March 15, 2011 at 07:57 AM

GO NOAH!!! YOU DID IT!!!
