Merry Christmasalah and Happy Hanukkahalah, and a very happy New Yearalah.

I'm up. It's almost midnight, and I've just finished making my homemade cornbread stuffing... turned out a hair dry, dammit, but it's still pretty. damned. good. Just put the finishing touches on the last presents to go under the tree. Ate the cookies left out for Santa. Well, it had to be done. Left a thank you note for my 7 year old, of course. Santa's polite like that.
I'm feeling very grateful for the blessings my family and I have had heaped on us this year. It's been a roller coaster, but it's all turned out well. Can't wait to see my husband and my son light up like the Christmas tree when they open their presents tomorrow. Of course, it'll be a little anti-climactic, since the 7 year old 'accidentally' found his new bike yesterday... the one we had hidden in our closet pending Christmas morning. Ah, well.
I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday season, Amy. You give so much to those of us who read your posts... the chuckles and the sweet Noah moments. There are days when the belly laugh is all that's keeping us (well, me at least) from throwing ourselves in front of the garbage truck.
Be well and God bless.
